Save Ghana Frogs

Football Club

About our Football Club.

What do frogs and football have in common? One of the greatest threats facing frogs in northern Ghana is the over-harvesting of frogs. In Ghana, one common practice is for school children to go to the local water bodies and collect frogs to use as bait to catch fish or to sell for food. As football is very popular in Ghana, Save Ghana Frogs encourages children to pursue the activity of playing soccer, rather than harvesting frogs, as another way to develop their skills. Save Ghana Frogs is always looking for students who are interested in learning more and encourages young adults to reach out.
